“you’ve got to know when to hold ’em…”

Dear Reader(s), In the words of Kenny Rogers, “You’ve got to know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em…” After 90 posts and a year and a half, it’s time to close the door on real small real estate. Building dollhouses and writing about them got me through the pandemic. As “15 daysContinue reading ““you’ve got to know when to hold ’em…””

wim hof + andrew huberman on cold water immersion

This post reflects my continuing experience with cold water immersion. Big caveat up front: If you “jump into” (no pun intended) cold water immersion too quickly, you can end up with a medical emergency. Proceed slowly. Let your mind, body, and maybe a coach, guide you. I have a love-hate relationship with the trees, hence, my conflict.Continue reading “in memoriam: my backyard trees, and maybe my mind”

a deliciously diverse playlist

Shortly after I released this post, which included embedded Mp3s of the three songs mentioned, it appears a visitor downloaded them all. I have to admit to ignorance on this front; I think that implies he/she got them for “free,” which wasn’t my intention. I think artists should be paid for their work, so toContinue reading “a deliciously diverse playlist”
